There was a time in Formula One when everything was different - less professional, less rules and a lot more fun, according to the people who were there; the people you will meet during the ‘No Team Orders – Stories from the F1 Paddock’ theatre show. These were the times when, besides hard working, the sport was Wild, Fun and Dangerous!
Take off your seatbelts and be amazed by the stories you will hear. Get answers to your wildest questions! Formula One used to be pure fun and these people were right in it!
From the era when mostly dedicated people with only passion worked in Formula One, team managers, to mechanics, to truckies, to cooks to drivers. It was all pure passion and love for the sport.
Ed Taylor made around 30 vlogs during the Covid-lockdowns about his days in F1, and decided to turn these stories into a live show with the help of team mates and colleagues!
No Team Orders – Stories from the F1 Paddock will be an exciting, funny and enlightening evening! “They Can’t Sack Us Now…so we’re telling you the tales, live and unfiltered”. Drive to Survive couldn’t broadcast most of what you will hear!
Who are the panel?
Hailey Coxon:
She grew up on the Isle of Man and is well known in the autosport world where she has done plenty of work as a pit reporter and more. She does an amazing job as a host, doing her best to keep these guys in check.
Chris Dinnage:
Started his career in Formula One with Team Lotus in 1982, and worked with drivers like Ayrton Senna, Nelson Piquet and Martin Donnelly. He later became Classic Team Lotus Team Manager.
Ed Taylor:
A former Truckie and Goodyear tyre fitter who experienced the most bizarre things in Formula One. Founder of the F1 rock and roll band, The Pitstop Boogie Boys.
Chris Hessey:
Was Fernando Alonso’s engineer in the first years he was with the Renault F1 Team, where he won his titles. Chris has been in Formula one for many years and experienced it all.
Martin Donnelly:
In a way one of the luckiest drivers in Formula One. During the 1990 Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez, he suffered a serious crash after a failure in his suspension. While the priest came in, he fought and returned!
Ian Phillips:
Ian Phillips published articles in Autosport magazine before he moved to Formula One, where he first appeared at Leyton House before making his move to Jordan Grand Prix, where he became the Commercial & Marketing Director.
Ray Boulter:
Formerly of the RAM F1 team where he was the Chief Mechanic, and moving through the ranks to the role of Team Manager at Brabham, Ray has spent the last years helping to maintaiun the vast Bernie Ecclesone race car collection,
